Donuts is the second and final studio album by American hip hop producer, J Dilla. It was released on February 7, 2006, by Stones Throw Records, on his 32nd birthday, just three days before his death. Dilla's health began to decline following a tour in early 2002

During my time at Shillington School of Design, I worked on a handmade project that was both engaging and rewarding. The brief was to redesign a favorite album while incorporating a handcrafted element. For my piece, I recreated the Akai MPC3000 drum sampler—an iconic machine that J Dilla used throughout his music career. I recreated this iconic sampler out of the classic Krispy Kream doughnut box, and may have scarfed down a few doughnuts during the process.
